Deposits, Card Holds and No-show Fees
Connect your bank, then choose your deposit, cancellation window and no-show fee on Payments. Guests pay you directly and HostyFlow takes nothing.
Connect your bank
- Open Payments, or the Payments step in Setup. Owners and managers can do this.
- Press Connect your bank and fill in your details on the secure sign-up page.
- When you come back, HostyFlow shows your details are being reviewed, or that card payments are on.
Payouts go to your bank on the payment company's schedule. HostyFlow does not set it.
Set your policy
- On Payments, under Policies, pick the dinner deposit per guest, or None.
- Choose whether it applies on Friday and Saturday or every night.
- Pick how many hours before a booking guests can cancel without a charge: 12, 24 or 48.
- Pick the no-show fee: None, keep the deposit, or a fee per guest.
Deposit rules for set days and hours
- Under Deposit rules, pick the days, a From and To time, and the dollars per guest.
- Press Add deposit rule.
- Choose whether a rule's amount replaces the dinner deposit or is added to it.
You can have up to 12 rules, and rules cannot overlap.
When cards are held and charged
For a booking 6 days away or less, the deposit is held on the card when the guest books.
For a booking further out, the card is saved and the deposit is held 6 days before.
When the party finishes, the held deposit is charged.
A guest who cancels before the window is refunded in full.
After a no-show or late cancel, HostyFlow keeps or returns the money at the end of that booking's service, as your settings say.
Charge fees yourself
Set Fees charged to By the host to decide each fee yourself.
After a no-show or late cancel, the guest list then offers the fee with Charge fee and Don't charge.
