Connecting Outside Software with Keys and Notices
Give your own software a key to read and make bookings, and a notice address to hear when a booking or a guest changes.
Create a key
- Open Connections and find Outside software. Owners and managers can open it.
- Under API keys, type a name for the key, such as Website, and press Create key.
- Press Copy the key, then I have it. The key shows only this once.
A key reads a day's bookings, one booking and open times, and makes bookings.

Press Revoke to stop a key. You can hold up to 10 keys.
The Guide on the same screen lists the four requests your developer can make.
Add a notice address
- Under Notices, type a public https address.
- Pick the changes to hear about: a booking made, changed or cancelled, and a guest arriving or seated.
- Press Add address, and keep the signing secret it shows once.
- Press Send a test to check it.
Each notice is tried 4 times. After 5 failures in a row, the address is paused.
Press Resume to start it again, or Remove to delete it.
Show the latest lists the last notices sent.
