Connecting Toast as Your Till

Connect Toast with read-only credentials you make in Toast Web, so each table's paid bill is saved as the party's spend.

Make the credentials in Toast Web

Sign in to Toast Web as someone with the Manage Integrations permission. Your Toast plan needs RMS Essentials or higher.
Open Integrations, then Toast API access, then Manage credentials.
Choose to create credentials, and pick Standard API.
Name them HostyFlow, choose your location, and tick the scopes orders:read, config:read and restaurants:read.
Save, and keep the Client ID and the Client secret Toast shows.

Open Connections and find Your till. Owners and managers can open it.
Press Connect Toast. A panel opens on the right with the same steps.
Enter the Client ID and the Client secret, then press Check and connect.
When your credentials reach more than one location, pick this one. When Toast doesn't list them, enter the location ID from the email Toast sent when you made the credentials.

HostyFlow checks the credentials at once and says plainly when Toast refuses them or they can't read orders.

The credentials are read-only. HostyFlow reads your orders and table names and can't change anything in Toast.

When you move a table to the check or clear it, HostyFlow reads that table's Toast order once.

The table shows paying or paid. The paid bill before tip is saved as the party's spend, on the visit and the guest card.

Press Match tables to match a Toast table name to one of your tables once. A name that is the same as a table matches by itself.

Press Disconnect to delete the saved credentials. You can also delete them in Toast Web.
